Caitlin is an American actress and television host who has appeared in a variety of tv shows and movies such as Two and a Half Men, Southpaw, Key & Peele, and currently appears courtside on HBO’s “Winning Time” as Lakers legend Dyan Cannon. Once featured in Bloomberg’s “Business Week” for her vision to leverage beauty and social media marketing to generate revenue as an actress, TV host, and influencer, Caitlin has time and time again proved her It Girl status. Caitlin O’Connor’s charismatic charm along with her natural talents and passion to reach her childhood dream have cleared the path for a successful career as an actress and it’s only the beginning.

Caitlin was born in Los Angeles but was raised in Pennsylvania by her grandparents and single mother.
From an early age, she showed great promise in the arts as she excelled at dancing and performing such
as hosting her elementary school Christmas programs, which ultimately led her to her passion for acting
TV hosting, and teleprompter expertise. Caitlin went on to attend UCLA as an English major and it was
during this time that she used her knowledge to create connections that would lead her down her path. “I
joined a sorority and managed to make a lot of friends which helped me a lot while I networked through
Hollywood,” she says. “I still have a long way to go but little by little, I put myself out there and give my
best performance; that’s all I can do, show up on time, be prepared, and let the universe do the rest.”

Share your background as an Actress and Television Host.

My parents both worked in the entertainment business. My mother was a commercial actress and model, and my dad worked behind the scenes on union productions for 40 years! I caught the performing bug at a young age. I also minored in theater at UCLA. My real passion is entertainment news and red-carpet reporting. I’ve always loved interviewing celebrities and different public figures.

What drives you in the entertainment world?

I love working in Hollywood. As a multi-hyphenate performer, I get to enjoy the perks of hosting and modeling- like gifting suites and luxury gifting from awards shows. I’m very thankful to enjoy my job. I never have to work a day in my life because I love what I do! Can’t wait to be on set filming something different each day!

Share your favorite roles.

My favorite role is actually behind the camera as a producer. I’ve produced four feature films. It’s a labor of love. It’s my passion to create – from script to pre-production to finding funding etc! It’s all a long arduous process at times but so very rewarding!

Tell us about work as an entertainment reporter for Maxim magazine.

Maxim has been my favorite job as a tv host! I’ve had the incredible opportunity to interview so many stars through Maxim! I don’t get star struck often but I definitely did get nervous to interview my childhood favorite Mel B from The Spice Girls! Some other favorites are Ludacris, Amber Rose, DJ Khaled, Tiesto, Diplo and many many more.

“LA sells you the dream but they never tell you about all of the hoops, the rejection, the social dynamics and politics at play behind the scenes.” Explain.

Rejection is a big part of auditioning! Getting used to being rejected is something that I really struggled with at the beginning of my career. I hated working on an audition with a coach and never getting called back for the jobs I really wanted. But over time, I started to make connections and sharpen my skills. LA and “Hollywood” as its portrayed is very different from what actually goes on behind the scenes. There’s social dynamics and politics at play that you need to be accustomed to and sometimes you don’t have control over when and how you’re chosen to work! It’s important to just keep working on your craft, on your networking, and on your goals.

What have you learned through your career?

I have learned so much about hard work! 12 hours in heels is no big deal, sixteen hours on set doing what I love to do is part of the job! One of the things I’m so thankful for are my residual checks that come through SAG, my union (the Screen Actors Guild) – I am very thankful for my union and what they do!

Who would you like to work with?

I would love to work with Michael Hirst (Vikings, Billy the Kid), Jonah Hill, and Megan Fox. I would love to interview Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande!

As an Influencer what do you want your legacy to be?

I still am uncomfortable being named an influencer because there are so many social media personalities with many more followers than me and much better content. What I’d like to contribute though, is professionalism and creativity wherever I go – I strive to be kind and genuine with everyone I meet and if I make a mistake, I try to remedy the situation immediately! It’s very important to me to be kind and humble.
