Jules: Your evening wear and Couture Gowns have been showcased around the world by celebrities and royals.  What inspired you to go into fashion design?

Ihab: Over a thousand hours went into the creation of the gown, from the design concept to the finishing touches.  Due to the rapid emergence and evolution of fast fashion and the increasing competition between leading brands, many designers have started to turn their back on the traditional practice of making one-off pieces, which is known as couture.  However, I am not going to follow suit. My label’s DNA is rooted in the heritage of craftsmanship and the precision of one-off pieces, which is why his creations are known to be incredibly unique.

According to me, the traditional practice of making one-off pieces is fading, but the techniques and know-how are still alive. I believe that it is still necessary for women to continue purchasing high-end fashion. I enjoy designing for celebrities as I can go as far as I want with my imagination when it comes to making my creations.

Jules: You are a Palestinian Arab based in North Palestine. Share your background and how your culture is reflected in your elegant designs.

Ihab: Aspiring fashion designers should be passionate about working and giving it the best. I find my own style and inspiration, as well as I stay true to my vision. I believe that People who aspire to be a fashion designer must be patient and work hard, as they will likely face fierce competition and other talented individuals. Only perseverance can help them succeed. Being a Palestinian Arab based in North Palestine I can say that my designs are both romantic and fluid, and they reflect Palestine breathtaking beauty. My inspiration came from the rebellious spirit of the holy land new generation, which is challenging social conventions and political restrictions. Through fashion, I was able to explore my identity and put a different spin on traditional ideas of masculinity and femininity.  my creations also feature romantic and elegance twists.

Jules: What is essential when designing exquisite Couture Gowns?

Ihab: While I was able to create my own unique brand, I admit that the initial years of my career were very challenging. I noted that the level of commitment and dedication required to run my business was very different from what I had expected. I was able to learn a lot about myself during my time in the industry. My distinct style is both ultra-feminine and luxurious. It features a strong silhouette and intricate details that will make any red carpet appearance a memorable one.

Jules: Tell us about your collection, “Between Reality & Imagination.”

Reality is the visible world, in which we deal with our senses.  Everyone has his limited and special world. Imagination is a vast world that has no limits, we can draw, imagine and visualize what we want. Here we highlight the question, what is the relationship between reality and imagination, how much they can be closer or distant?  We all strive to live by imagination in one way or another. with our modern life and rapid developments happening around us. We always try to escape to the world of imagination. We create new stories, but the challenge is not to allow our fantasies and fictional stories to take us from our reality which will be difficult to return to.

In my new collection I used to show this thought visually through my creations. By sequential ideas until they meet each other through two worlds. On the one hand, they are two worlds that complete each other and cannot leave one another. One the other hand, they are two worlds who cannot be harmony. For example, we see many contradictions and mergers, between exposed and covered, colors that are completely different, fabrics that is plain and others that are embroidered. various kinds of fabrics; silk chiffon. designs that are  loose to cover body shape and others that is tight to boost body figure.

I sincerely believe in the power of the dress. The dress can talk without “talking”. it can convey and communicate thoughts and feelings. dress is like a mirror which reflect everything that exists in our hearts, minds and emotions.

Ihab: My creations are often described as ethereal and beautiful. They can be so enticing that it almost seems like they were taken out of a fantasy world. Being a fashion designer it like adream come true for me. I live what I am doing, I fall in love with all my creations, I enjoyed every moment in my life as a designer.

I don’t recall a day in my life without a pen in my hand.

Jules: What would people be surprised to know about you?

Ihab: I enjoy highlighting the natural curves and shapes of women through my creations. I wanted my clothes to be like tattoos on the body. Although I mainly use models in my shows, I also has a variety of clients who are bigger than average.

Although it can be challenging to create a dress for curvier women, I enjoy it. My clients often want to show their skin and feel sexy in my creations. I utilize corsets to create the perfect shape.
