During the week of February 16th, a high-level delegation from the City of Beverly Hills and the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, including Beverly Hills Mayor Sharona Nazarian and Vice-Mayor Craig Corman, embarked on a business attraction and retention mission to Miami, a fast-growing cultural and commercial area that offers valuable insights for cities competing on an international stage. What began as an effort to increase connections between Beverly Hills and other thriving urban centers has now become one of the Chamber’s annual initiatives. This year’s trip brought together municipal leaders, economic development experts, and business strategists to engage with more than two dozen companies representing some of the country’s most influential sectors.
“My trip to Miami was both productive and inspiring,” the Mayor reflects. “I had the opportunity to meet with innovative businesses, restaurateurs, and creative leaders to explore ideas, events, and cultural experiences that could be a great fit for Beverly Hills. While we remain deeply committed to supporting our outstanding local businesses, we are always looking for thoughtful opportunities that add to the vibrancy of our community. We hope those we meet see Beverly Hills as a welcoming place to bring their vision.”

This year’s Miami initiative sits within the Chamber’s broader business attraction and retention strategy. By coordinating an annual business delegation, the Chamber and the City of Beverly Hills seek businesses that can thrive in the city’s unique ecosystem. Across three days, the Beverly Hills delegation met with over 25 businesses representing restaurant, retail, arts, and cultural sectors. These conversations provided firsthand insight into how companies adapt to shifting consumer expectations, operational challenges, and the demands of modern markets. The delegation also explored some of Miami’s most influential venues and concepts, including the acclaimed dining destination MILA, LPM Restaurant & Bar, and the modern culinary experience Shingo.
Beyond hospitality, the group visited the Faena Theater, the outdoor art campus Wynwood Walls, and a leading art and design fair hosted by Design Miami. Each location demonstrated how immersive brand experiences and unique artistic perspectives can increase tourism, foster consumer engagement, and strengthen civic identity. These firsthand observations proved especially valuable for Beverly Hills, already home to world-class dining, luxury retail, and iconic landmarks. The trip provided the Chamber with insight into how other major cities create their business ecosystems and how those strategies might influence local planning and future development.
The outcome of the meetings was overwhelmingly positive. Interest in Beverly Hills as a place to invest and grow remains strong, with several companies expressing enthusiasm about future collaboration. In the coming months, the Chamber and the City will continue coordinated outreach, provide follow-up materials, and evaluate next steps for the most promising opportunities that emerged from the trip. While business attraction and retention remain priorities, the Chamber is also committed to programs that strengthen the social, cultural, and civic fabric of Beverly Hills, ensuring long-term community ties alongside economic growth.
Founded in 1923, the Beverly Hills Chamber is the city’s authoritative voice for businesses in the area. Over the years, it has supported growth across industries through advocacy, relationship-building, and high-impact marketing platforms. Today, the Chamber helps members navigate an increasingly competitive global landscape while ensuring the city maintains its signature character and appeal. Leading the organization is President and CEO Todd Johnson, who embraces Beverly Hills’ heritage as well as its potential for sustainable growth. Under his direction, the Chamber continues to make the city a signature destination for tourism, luxury retail, hospitality, arts, culture, technology, and other emerging enterprises. The Chamber now produces more than 150 events each year, ranging from networking receptions and leadership forums to community celebrations, activities that provide businesses with opportunities to expand visibility, strengthen relationships, collaborate, and engage with local leaders.
As the Chamber looks toward the remainder of 2026, its focus is to reinforce Beverly Hills’ reputation as a global business destination. Under Todd Johnson’s leadership, the organization is committed to expanding strategic partnerships, supporting small businesses, and maintaining an economy that benefits residents and entrepreneurs. The Miami business delegation demonstrates this forward-thinking approach to economic development, an investment in knowledge-sharing and relationship-building that continues the Chamber’s century-long goal of supporting businesses and upholding long-term goals.
