Pay It Forward Day is a global initiative that exists to make a difference by creating a huge ripple of kindness felt across the world. This day is celebrated every April 28th. April 28th is Global Pay It Forward Day! What does paying it forward mean to you?
Kelli: Paying it forward has several meanings for me, but I would same the would be doing for others as God continues to do for me/us. Having the ability in any way to be of service to someone else other than yourself or even your friends and family. See the God in everyone, even when they may not see the God in themselves, and help them in their purpose.
In what ways have you paid your talents, expertise, resources, and skills forward throughout your personal life and career?
Kelli: Several times! I believe that business is business, yes, however, sometimes, you can assist a person, brand, or place of worship, with your skills, talents, time, etc. I’ve helped family, friends, and colleagues just so they could get beyond the small hurtle that may be in the way of their forward progress. I enjoy seeing others win.
Who has paid it forward to you and how did you express that gratitude?
Kelli: I’ve been blessed to have had a few people pay it forward in my personal and professional life, and as much as I love to bring acknowledgment to them consistently, I do get told to stop lol. I continue to move forward on the words that I’ve been given, never giving up or giving in, continuing to grow, and remaining a student. Not to leave out that I’m forever available for them whenever they need me. Being able to accept a pour is good, being able to pour back into others because of your overflow, is massive.
What recent opportunities have you just landed that you are excited to share with us today?
Kelli: The official rebranding of our PR agency. Becoming the first noted Black-Owned and Black-Woman Owned Wedding PR agency in the US and globally by the name of NuLevel Group. We are honored to work with businesses within the wedding industry, including businesses, brands, and individuals in wellness, interior design, and real estate that have a focus on clients in the wedding industry.
Is there anything outside of your industry that you’re extremely passionate about? If so, what is it?
Kelli: Yes, I’m extremely passionate about our company Komfort Kollection, a luxury comfort and candle boutique. We create hand-poured 100% scented soy candles, and massage oil candles and will be releasing additional products this year of 2023. Creating is a form of relaxation and ministry for me.
From your perspective, what do you think the world needs more of?
Kelli: Right now, there’s a lot of pain, confusion, and division everywhere. I don’t divide too heavily into political or religious debates, but I do focus on, support, and love Black and Brown people. So, right now, this world needs more unity, understanding, REAL LOVE, support, and growth. I see so much pain, and little love and it hurts to see.
What else would you like to share with our readers?
Kelli: I would like your readers to know that at no point, you should ever give up on your dreams, your purpose, or your focus. Don’t look to your immediate to always be your first true support, and a lot of times that’s because people are familiar with you and who you were, not who you are. So, keep going! You got this! Keep shining, you can and will make it. Keep God first and forever at the center of everything you do.
What is the best way to keep up to date and follow all of your amazing endeavors?
