How do you suggest choosing which universities to apply to?
As someone who has gone through the process of choosing a university, I understand how overwhelming it can be. That’s why my team and I at Accepted Admissions are here to offer guidance to our clients. One of the first factors to consider when choosing a university is location. Ask yourself how far you’re willing to go from home and what type of environment you see yourself living in. The next thing to consider is your major. What do you want to study? It’s important to choose a school that has a program or major that interests you. Another important aspect to think about is the price of the school. There are various options, ranging from public to private, ivy league to community college. It’s important to choose a university that is within your budget. At Accepted Admissions, we understand the importance of finding a school that’s the right fit for our clients.
What do you think creates a great university applicant?
As someone who has gone through the college admissions process, I strongly believe that being a well-rounded student is essential in showcasing your versatility to universities. While good grades may be impressive, it’s equally crucial to have experience in multiple aspects, such as sports, clubs, volunteering, or even student government. Such activities demonstrate that you have the ability to balance academic coursework with diverse extracurriculars. Being involved in various activities and not just focusing on academics also helps prepare you to become a more well-rounded individual in the future. Universities seek out students who can bring a unique perspective to the campus community and contribute to the betterment of the community both inside and outside of the classroom. Hence, being a well-rounded student can go a long way in creating a bright future.
Do you have any tips for writing admission essays?
It is important to stay true to yourself when writing your essays. It may be tempting to try and fit into a certain mold or write what you think the admissions committee wants to hear, but trust me, being authentic will make you stand out from the rest. Take the time to reflect on your experiences, both academically and through extracurricular activities, and find the story that truly represents who you are. And don’t forget to do your research on the university you are applying to. Being able to speak to how their values align with yours will show that you are truly invested in attending their institution.
