In early 2020, Elaine Alberto opened the doors of Gravitas Medspa in Beverly Hills. It is then when her journey and love for medical esthetics flourished and discovered her passion for helping her clients achieve beautiful and healthy skin all while gaining self-confidence. From its inception, Elaine has been the driving force for Gravitas Medspa’s overall operation, including sales and marketing efforts. She has a great deal of knowledge in specializing treatments and products to each individual’s needs.
You combined your background in nursing and lifelong passion for beauty and skin esthetics to create the luxurious Gravitas Medspa in Beverly Hills. Tell us about your background.
With my experience in nursing for the past 30 years and the lessons I’ve acquired have made me into the esthetician and aesthetic nurse I am today. As my clients know, not only do I have a meticulous eye for detail that guarantees every single time they come in they are getting the best experience tailored for them, but also that they truly feel that they are being cared for and listened to. I’ve seen so many clients who come in, uncertain whether their long-time acne and/or skin issues would ever get resolved and leave with astounding night and day changes in their overall confidence because of how much more comfortable they feel being in their own skin more than ever. It is these small moments that constantly fuel my passion for my craft and help bring out the beauty, inside and out, in every client I have the opportunity of working with.
What makes Gravitas Medspa the most luxurious for individuals who want to pamper themselves?
I should say, with my services, they are not only centered around skin, but from head to toe. It’s an experience. My clients when they come to me, say, “this is an experience, this is not just a facial.” One thing that is very luxurious is that they really feel so comfortable from head to toe. With the customized treatment that I do for all my clients, they feel very well pampered and very happy with the results. I am becoming known to give the treatment that provides glowing skin after only one treatment.

At Gravitas MedSpa, we cultivate a relaxing mind and body experience through our unique treatments, where clients are able to leave all their troubles and worries from the moment they walk in. With our services, patients are recommended the best treatment for their needs and are pampered quite literally from head to toe through our extensive facial treatments, aromatherapy, hand, and foot massage with paraffin.
By trade, my background is a registered nurse-esthetician while my daughter is in her third and final year of pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy and master’s in public health. Carrying such different skill sets has allowed us to share our unique expertise and bring a whole new meaning to holistic wellness. My ability to provide treatments and services to our clients from an esthetic standpoint while my daughter is able to work on providing them coaching and guidance through better health habits physically and mentally. Inevitably with how different our backgrounds are, this enables us to come together and brainstorm where our expertise can come into play towards providing our clients the best, unique experience.

Take us through the process. What can clients expect when they walk through the door?
Even before COVID, I am very OCD when it comes to cleanliness and sanitation has been one of my topmost priorities. More so now, with the COVID issue. Before they even go into my room, I spray my clients with Primocyn, an anti-viral/anti-bacterial spray; because it kills on a 30 seconds contact whatever pathogens that are on their body (you know) before even touching my bed. So, it’s for the safety of myself and my clients. I also check their temperature, ask them to wash their hands, and then change into the gowns- so they have a clean gown when they lie down on my bed. As soon as they enter, they’ll smell that nice luxurious smell that’s unique to Gravitas. The ambiance of the room is really very nice. I decorated it in a way that is very unique, and it gives you that special feel. Even if it’s just a small place, it really has a nice ambiance. I make sure it touches all their five senses.
What are the special treatments offered?
I have the one that the celebrity sought after treatment- the Megalux treatment is really game changing because once they experience that, they really feel like it is an amazing experience because of everything that are included in this special two-hour treatment that I put together. I customized it based on great products and great procedures. This one, literally, my clients after having this, they say “Wow, it took ten years of their age, it makes them look so young.” It made their skin look so bright, tight, and glowing.
Share your routine to beautiful skin.
You need to be consistent! For me, having beautiful skin is a combination of great monthly skincare treatments and good skincare products that you use on a daily basis. It is also very important that you don’t sleep with your makeup on. Having a good skincare routine is a MUST for everyone to delay premature aging and have a healthy and glowing skin.
As many of you know, our skin regenerates between 28-40 days and it slows down as we age. Just imagine every time our skin regenerates, dead skin gets pushed to the top and that’s what we see on our face. So, what happens overtime, if you don’t get rid of the dead skin, it causes premature aging such as premature wrinkles, dry and dull skin, also causes breakouts and pigmentations. So, when you take this dead skin out, then it gives the new skin a chance to glow and when you apply the products, you can see your skin will fully absorb them. You can feel and see the difference when you do this Epidermal Sweep. All my clients love this treatment because they already see how it makes a big difference when the dead skin is taken out of their skin.
