Known for his work as a producer for companies like Fox Sports, the NFL Network, The Ringer, and HBO, the sports media leader has amassed immeasurable expertise in live production, content distribution, monetization, new business launches, the leadership of large teams, and strategic operations across the digital audio and video landscape.
Jumpstarting his professional career, Weinberger created and produced Fox Sports’ Emmy-nominated ‘Best Damn Sports Show Period’ and served as the producer for all shows hosted by journalist, correspondent, and anchor Keith Olbermann. In 2003, he joined NFL Media, where he was promoted to the network’s first-ever executive producer role. During his nearly 13-year tenure, Weinberger oversaw shows and event coverage, including Thursday Night Football, NFL GameDay & RedZone, the NFL Scouting Combine, the NFL Draft, NFL Red Carpet, and Super Bowl Week. After Fox Sports and the NFL Network, Weinberger was announced as president of the digital company Bill Simmons Media Group and an executive producer at HBO in 2015, where he oversaw the distribution of creative content across The Ringer digital networks.
Eric Weinberger is the recipient of multiple Sports Emmy Awards and nominations, including the 2013 Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Promotional Announcement, the 2013 Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Feature, the 2014 Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding New Approaches Sports Programming Short Format, and 2015 Shorty Industry Award for Best Integration with Live Television.
Stepping in as President of Bleav Network
Weinberger is now leading the charge as President of Bleav Network (pronounced believe)—an audio and video sports and entertainment content network with hundreds of shows distributed by Bally Sports, Stadium, TuneIn, Sirius, Spotify, and others. The network specializes in creating daily, topical sports and entertainment debates and talk shows with over 150 former athletes. According to the Bleav website, the #1 content network for professionals and passionate fans touts an impressive 500 shows, 800 hosts, and a combined 40 million followers. In his role, Weinberger oversees the production, distribution, and sales of all content, and is responsible for new business and talent recruitment for the omnichannel production company.
Launching Eric Weinberger Productions & Media Consulting
The innovative television and film producer also launched his production company in 2018, Eric Weinberger (EW) Productions, serving as a creative and production consultant for Bally Sports and Stadium (both owned by Sinclair Media). His consulting portfolio consists of long- and short-form shows. Most notably: The Rally with hosts Brooke Fletcher, Russell Dorsey, Joshua Perry, and Shams Charania that airs weekdays across the Bally Sports Network. Weinberger is currently spearheading a documentary for Bally Sports Network on Trent Dilfer, a former sixth overall 1994 NFL Draft pick and Super Bowl champion quarterback turned high school football coach at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.
