Her March Forward: Stories of Resilience, Empowerment, and Inspiration from Women Veterans stands as a collective declaration from women who served and continue to lead with purpose. This anthology brings forward the voices of women veterans who refused to let their military service become the final chapter of their leadership. These women carried rank, responsibility, and sacrifice, and they continue to carry impact well beyond the uniform.
Her March Forward was built on a clear understanding:
Women veterans are shaped by service, strengthened by experience, and still moving forward with intention.
Women veterans have long navigated leadership in high-stakes environments while managing expectations, silence, and visibility gaps — both during service and after transition. Her March Forward exists to change that narrative through action, not language.

This platform was created to:
- Bring women veterans’ voices into public view
- Honor leadership that extends beyond military service
- Build visibility, opportunity, and legacy
- Create space for truth, clarity, and purpose
This is about progress. This is about forward motion. At the center of Her March Forward is Dr. Lena Payton Webb, a retired U.S. Army veteran with 21 years of honorable service. Dr. Lena’s leadership was shaped by decades of service, discipline, and responsibility. The military formed her ability to lead under pressure, remain mission-focused, and move with clarity. After retiring from the Army, she continued her commitment to service as the Founder and CEO of Blu Impressions Publishing.
Her March Forward grew from what she witnessed firsthand — women veterans carrying stories, leadership, and experience without platforms to be seen or heard. This movement ensures those voices are elevated, not overlooked. Volume One of Her March Forward features eight women veterans representing more than 150 combined years of military service. Each co-author brings a distinct perspective shaped by leadership, faith, healing, advocacy, and purpose. Together, they represent strength through action.

The platform is also expanding through:
- An upcoming in-person Her March Forward Conference focused on connection, leadership, and community
- The launch of Her March Forward Magazine, highlighting women veterans through features, interviews, and thought leadership
Her March Forward invites women veterans to:
- Release expectations placed on them after service
- Speak their truth with confidence
- Honor their leadership without explanation
- Move forward with peace, clarity, and purpose
The movement affirms that women veterans are still needed, still leading, and still shaping what comes next.
The book opened the door. The women carry the mission. The march continues.
