Founded in April 2021, In Da Mix Radio began with a simple mission: bring listeners the latest new music first while spotlighting the hottest independent and underground artists. As the station grew, listener feedback helped shape its evolution.
One of the most popular features, Throwback Thursday, showed a strong demand for ’90s and early 2000s Hip Hop and R&B.; After Hurricane Helene in September 2023 caused the station to be down for several weeks, In Da Mix Radio relaunched on November 1, 2023, with a new direction and slogan:
“The station that brings you the best Old Skool Hip Hop and R&B;… along with spotlighting the hottest independent talent.”
Since then, the station’s reach has continued to expand globally.

• Currently: Nearly 16,000 monthly listeners in 8 countries
WIDM-DB In Da Mix Radio now features 10 mix shows and 7 podcasts, reflecting its commitment to classic sounds and emerging voices. The station continues to grow steadily while staying true to its foundation of supporting independent music.
Looking ahead, the next goal is placement on iHeartRadio to further expand the station’s audience and impact.
