Jacqueline Snell continues making a remarkable impact through leadership, community advocacy, and wellness-centered initiatives that are transforming lives throughout Pasadena and neighboring communities. As the Founder and Executive Director of Jazzy Jam for Empowerment and President of Soul2Soul Solutions, she has dedicated years to creating meaningful programs focused on youth empowerment, emotional wellness, mental health advocacy, and community healing.
With more than 18 years of experience in mental health and community wellness, Jacqueline has become widely respected for developing safe spaces and impactful initiatives that support families beyond temporary solutions. Her work consistently centers on helping individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered while navigating life’s challenges.
One of her most impactful community efforts to date was the Fifth Annual Jazzy Jam Glam Prom Dress and Suit Giveaway, which took place at The Paseo in Pasadena in partnership with Councilmember Tyron Hampton.
The event served more than 1,000 families by providing students with free prom attire, accessories, shoes, and styling support in a welcoming environment designed to uplift and encourage. For many families facing financial hardship, the event removed a major burden while still allowing students to fully experience one of high school’s most memorable milestones with confidence and dignity. This initiative had an overwhelming and positive response from families, students, and community supporters.
The experience extended beyond fashion and celebration. Held at the WaterCooler Room — Jazzy Jam’s physical headquarters and the home of its annual prom giveaway — Jacqueline incorporated the space as a healing-centered environment for the event. More than just a venue, the WaterCooler Room serves as a hub for community programming, where events like the prom giveaway and other initiatives take place year-round. During the event, students and families were able to access emotional support, build peer connections, and engage in wellness-focused conversations. This intentional use of the space reflects Jacqueline’s ongoing commitment to supporting the emotional well-being of the communities she serves.
Jacqueline’s impact also became especially visible during the aftermath of the Eaton Fires, where she stepped in to support displaced and affected families through resource coordination, emotional wellness support, and healing-centered outreach efforts. Her ability to lead with compassion while responding directly to community needs continues to set her apart as a visionary leader and trusted advocate.
Through Jazzy Jam for Empowerment, Jacqueline empowers families through mentorship initiatives, wellness programs, youth advocacy, and trauma-informed community support. Her dedication to service has also led to partnerships with schools, nonprofit organizations, wellness practitioners, and community leaders across the San Gabriel Valley.
Her contributions have not gone unnoticed. In December 2025, Jacqueline received the Champion Award at the 31st Annual S.E. Manly African American Short Film Festival in recognition of her continued commitment to community healing, empowerment, and advocacy. Jacqueline had truly built a legacy centered on compassion, action, and meaningful impact. Her work through Jazzy Jam for Empowerment creates opportunities that uplift communities, strengthen families, and remind the next generation that they deserve to feel supported, valued, and empowered.
