Throughout your influential career, you’ve made a huge impact in the lives of others. What have been some of your proudest achievements as of late?

My proudest achievement was when I was able to use my gift to contribute to a Haitian legend Mikaben also known as Michael Benjamin. I was asked by Haiti Open Magazine if I can contribute to the magazine and write a poem about this artist. You never know who’s watching or being inspired by your work. Being able to bring my gift to my own Haitian community was one of my proudest achievements along side with receiving the Presidential Lifetime achievement Award three times, being named as one of the top twenty five transformational entrepreneurs making global impact in the voice of change magazine, awarded author of the year out of Durban South Africa, being in the front cover of the Success2Success international magazine, and receiving the International Impact Book Award for the inspirational category out of 120 entries.

You’ve openly shared the challenges you faced with stuttering, epilepsy, and being in special education. What was the pivotal moment that shifted your mindset to believe that these obstacles wouldn’t define your future?

I’ve always knew that the challenges wouldn’t define my future. When I saw the vision 18 years ago that this is what I’m going to do in life, I believed it, ran with it, confident this is my purpose in this world and placed it in the hands of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe that God gave me that vision that I saw via dreams and because of that, I was determined to go after it.

You’ve received three Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards and been named one of the top transformational entrepreneurs. How do these acknowledgments impact your mission, and do they change the way you view your work?

My mission has always been to reach one and teach one. It’s not about me it’s about impact and impacting the masses. These achievements became a fuel to the fire to see that I’m not just making local impact but also national impact. To know the seeds that I have been sowing is reaping a harvest that is plentiful. Is all God. These achievements don’t impact my mission or vision but it has made me push to the next level and added more fuel to the mission.

Your books inspire readers to take action. What do you hope is the first change or realization readers make after finishing one of your books?

The first change or realization that I hope readers make after finishing one of my books is to change the way they view themselves and change what they speak over themselves. Words you plant will determine the mindset that you have and the mindset that you have will determine who you attract. And who and what you attract will determine the type of seeds you will leave behind. I want readers to also know and understand they are not an accident but they were born on purpose for a purpose and with a purpose.

You often speak about purpose — living “on purpose, for a purpose, with a purpose.” For those struggling to find their own purpose, what are some steps they can take to start that journey?

Get connected to the God of purpose and the creator who has your life mapped out. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” The best anyone can do is just go to God and dwell in him and let him be in control of your life and drive your life.

With everything you’ve accomplished so far, what’s the next big dream or goal you’re working toward?

My next goal I am working on is an in person book tour.

For the next generation of leaders, especially those who face unique challenges, what’s the biggest piece of advice you can offer to help them pursue their dreams?

Don’t neglect self work, heal, go to therapy, put God first and let him be the driver of your life.
