Griffith Littlehale

Griffith Robert “Griff” Littlehale has been a Toldeo, Ohio, native and resident since 2004. His range of unique interests is breaking boundaries in what was previously considered contradictory. An honorary graduate of Francis de Sales High school, he won multiple awards as an All-American swimmer in his senior year. His stellar performance and athletic ability spurred bouts of creativity and purpose.

Through these endeavors, Griffith Littlehale was free to explore his passion for psychology in tandem with his unwavering Christian faith. He currently attends the University of Toledo as a Psychology student with a 4.0 science GPA, but ultimately stresses the importance of community outreach and a learned, well-educated positive outlook on life.

Combining Psychology with Christianity

Griffith Littlehale attributes his extremely positive attitude to his faith and self-teachings of philosophy. While he is well-versed in the fathers of psychology: Socrates, Descartes, Rousseau, Locke, and Rancier. The juxtaposition in their schools of thought has brought enlightenment that we are all part of the same ship, working together for more proverbial clear skies. His impressive academic performance and extra-curricular involvement have placed Littlehale on the President’s list for his years of studies.

His love of psychology and creativity merged into an opportune love of poetic giants Edgar Allan Poe and Bret Easton Ellis. Griff regularly analyzes and writes about the alliteration and imagery used within the writings of these great men. Perhaps his most prominent role model is a well-known psychology professor and best-selling author, Jordan Peterson. Peterson is a well-known skeptic but has become a sort of modern-day prophet through his literal and subcontextual analysis of the bible and well-known psychological theories. The merger between critical thinking and Christianity is extremely juxtaposed, but both Griff and Peterson believe they are complementary.

Giving Back to the Community

While he is a well-educated student, athlete, and thinker, the last thing these activities did was go to Griffith Littlehale’s head. Throughout his formative years, Griff was most defined on not what he could get but rather what he could offer the community. Moved by these selfless thoughts, Griff would volunteer in various community churches, offering his services primarily in the kitchen and the streets. He would wash dishes, prepare meals, and deliver hot food to the homeless of Toldeo.

While Littlehale is adamant in his faith, he believes that everyone who is in need should receive help. His volunteerism and sacrifice go beyond the Christian community, deciding to lend a hand to a reputable charity: The United Way. He has both donated and helped to organize and distribute non-perishable items during food drives. Currently, he is conducting further outreach work in between his studies and on weekends to give back to the community, which helped shape the person he is today.

Laying the foundation of his desire to help the less fortunate, he plans to extend this outreach to those who are not living within his immediate community. While there are many issues to tackle at home, Griffith Littlehale plans on attending humanitarian trips abroad in order to achieve his goal of making a positive global impact.
