Rich-P is a music machine who happens to love fashion. The Harlem music artist has been featured on MTV, NY Times, TMZ, Sway In The Morning, HOT97, and more. Most will say that he’s original and loves what he does. We’ve obtained an exclusive interview with the rising star to digest his thoughts on the importance of the term “paying it forward” to mark Global Pay It Forward Day which is celebrated throughout the world on April 28th.
In what ways have you paid your talents, expertise, resources, and skills forward throughout your personal life and career?
Rich-P: Sharing my platforms with other creatives and musicians for their talents to be seen I understand how much I needed opportunities during my start and I would like to make it easier for the next artist in that position
Who has paid it forward to you and how did you express that gratitude
Rich-P: Teyana Taylor had always been there to share her platform with me allowing me to perform at her shows and bringing me places that have put me in rooms to succeed and I always express how grateful I am for it… I always publicly give my flowers to Teyana she is 1 of a kind!
Is there anything outside of your industry that you’re extremely passionate about? If so, what is it?
Rich-P: I’m extremely passionate about activism and spreading knowledge to the youth with the truth about black struggles in America
From your perspective, what do you think the world needs more of?
Rich-P: The world needs more perspective and grace. we are allowed to make mistakes we are not perfect we need to give the grace that we desire so much.
