Actress, model, and influencer Arielle Raycene has never been one to stay inside the box. After starring in the lead role of New York City off Broadway play “Used” last year, Raycene has taken the closure of live theatre due to COVID-19 as an opportunity to tap into her creative side— producing and starring in a new web series venture. The exciting project, entitled “The Q Hustle”, highlights the struggles of a self-isolating college student. With her new creative venture in the works, Raycene has also returned to her career origins as a model. Featured in the pages of Maxim and Esquire, Raycene is no stranger to the sexy swimwear shot, although she has more recently been showcasing her prowess as a high fashion model. Working for Andi Bagus, Son Jung Wan, and Soid Studio, Raycene has made her debut in the fashion industry and shows no signs of slowing down. Beyond working as a full-time actress and model, Raycene has also managed to amass over 200,000 followers and counting on Instagram where she shares her “model off-duty” lifestyle. As someone who is always busy, Raycene epitomizes the label of “triple threat” and it seems everyone in the entertainment industry is taking notice.
Jules: Share your background as an actress and model.
Arielle: I have been doing it for a looooooong time! It’s crazy because every year there is always something new to learn. I turn over a new leaf all the time in the industry, as I always keep learning as I go and adapting to the changes. It definitely is a challenge to stay positive in a world of no’s but all the small triumphs are always worth it if you really love the game because that’s exactly how you have to look at it, a game!
Share your favorite shoots.
Definitely shooting for Maxim. The group destination shoots are always a fun way to meet new people and explore a new destination!
What do you enjoy the most about the entertainment business?
I enjoy the entertainment part, not the business. Put me in class and someone do the rest! haha.
You starred in the lead role of the New York City off-Broadway play “Used” last year. Tell us about your experience.
One of the best experiences of my life for sure. It’s like a rollercoaster ride. I can’t wait to get back on the stage.
What do I look for in a role?
When I’m a big movie star I would look for the most challenging, fun, and roles that I have never got to experience. If I’m writing something for me it’s usually some fantasy land of who I am and someone I have no idea who she is yet.
COVID didn’t stop you. You have produced and starred in a new web series, entitled “The Q Hustle.” What led you to this project?
It was just fun to be doing something creative during the pandemic and I’m always up for a good challenge, this time was adapting to the times.
What are you most proud of during your career?
Honestly, I’m just proud of not quitting after all of this. That I can have honest conversations and take things I don’t want to hear and then fix it to the best of my ability.
As an Influencer, what means the most to you?
To me it’s my stage or my place most of the time to share my weirdness with everyone who wants to watch. I try not to take myself too seriously and have fun with it. I also just really love that I can connect with other people from all over the world with it.
Tell us about producing, Tipping the Scales, a documentary focused on the childhood obesity epidemic which won a BEA award for Best Documentary.
Yes! It was my first time to ever produce something that large- it was a team of four of us. We shot it out of Arizona where the education system of nutrition was non-existent to very little. It was a great experience and I hope it helped change the way the school system taught nutrition.
What projects are in the works?
I’m almost done with a two-year acting program and am excited to see where life takes me next. I just got done writing for a magazine about NFT’s and Bitcoin. I’ve been focusing on getting fun content out with reels on Instagram and working on creating my own business that goes along with my brand!
