Founding Elios Entertainment
Chris’s passion for storytelling pushed him to start Elios Entertainment, his own creative company. He used it to bring his ideas to life. Over the years, Elios Entertainment has produced short films, animations, and live performances. Projects like Toolmaker and The Magician’s Code are some of his best-known works.
“Starting my own company was a leap of faith,” Chris explains. “I wanted to take risks, tell bigger stories, and explore themes that mattered to me.”
His work often explores deep questions about humanity, evolution, and technology. But he balances heavy themes with humor and wit, making his stories accessible to everyone.
The Fusion of Storytelling and Technology
What sets Chris apart is his ability to merge storytelling with technology. In his live productions, he uses tools like animatronics, projection mapping, and environmental effects to enhance the audience’s experience.
“Technology isn’t the star of the show,” Chris says. “It’s a tool to bring the story to life. If the story doesn’t work, the tech doesn’t matter.”
For example, in Toolmaker, he uses animatronics to show a creature evolving in real time. In The Magician’s Code, he combines live puppetry and illusions to create a seamless mix of reality and fantasy.
Improv and Creativity
Chris is also an improv performer. He believes improv helps him stay sharp and creative. “Improv teaches you how to adapt,” he says. “It’s about thinking on your feet and embracing the unexpected. Those skills are invaluable in storytelling.”
He often recommends improv to others, whether they’re performers or not. “It’s a great way to build confidence and learn to trust your instincts,” he adds.
Failures and Lessons Learned
Like any creator, Chris has faced challenges. Early in his career, he pitched a project that was too ambitious for its budget. It didn’t work out, but it taught him a valuable lesson. “You have to balance vision with reality,” he says. “Big ideas are great, but they need a solid foundation to succeed.”
He believes failures are part of the process. “Every setback is a chance to learn,” Chris explains. “The key is to keep moving forward.”
The Future of Live Entertainment
Chris has big ideas for the future of live entertainment. He envisions productions that fully immerse the audience, using technology and storytelling to create unforgettable experiences. “Imagine walking into a theater and feeling like you’ve stepped into another world,” he says.
One of his biggest inspirations is the 19th-century concept of the “Spectatorium,” a theater that combined storytelling, music, and immersive environments. “It was ahead of its time,” Chris notes. “My goal is to bring that dream into the 21st century.”

While Chris’s work often tackles complex themes, humor is always part of the equation. “Humor is a way to connect with people,” he says. “It makes big ideas more approachable.”
