After 15 years in the workforce, she took a bold step into the literary world, not only writing her own books but also coaching aspiring authors. If someone were to ask you who Akilah is, what would your reply be?
Akilah: She(I) is a mother of 2 girls, an educator, writer and someone who lives her dreams daily.
As a Black woman entrepreneur in the literary space, what is the boldest risk you’ve taken that redefined your career?
Akilah: Becoming an Anthology Coordinator during my second year and producing a book via Amazon with 13 writers, from all across the world was a game changer for me.
What has been some of the most memorable moments so far in your career that you are most proud of?
Akilah: I made #1 New Release when I produced my 2nd Anthology with topics on Professionalism . This is my favorite self help book to date.
What is a super fun fact about yourself that many people are not aware of?
Akilah: I love to sing. It’s actually something I’ve been wanting to do. Being a better writer than singer, I thought to become a songwriter in the near future or when time permits it.
What are some of your latest projects and what are you currently working on?
Akilah: I am currently working on my second degree in Human Resources and writing on topics such as Money Management.
How would you describe your influence in your industry?
Akilah: I am inspiring and motivating to others who have dreams to become a writer/author.

Akilah: I am working on a YouTube Channel where I read from books and do prayer monthly.
What else are you most excited about for the rest of the year?
Akilah: I am excited to Travel and Blog on my experiences with my viewers. This exercise will help me to bring diverse and creative ideas to my readers.
