In September Bernadette Patterson, owner of The Dream Team Hair & Beauty will present The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Pop Up Entertainment Shop Event. The purpose of this event is to celebrate 3 years of having The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products. There will be a speaker with a spirited speech called Black Man Come Up. Bernadette will be talking about the history of The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Brand. Attendees can also brace themselves for a entertainment showcase. The winner of the showcase will win $150 cash prize, an interview with Award Winning Celebrity TV Personality Nikki Rich the CEO of The Nikki Rich Show and will be able to participate in the UMA’S Worldwide Music Awards in Georgia from CEO BEMO.
During the event, Bernadette is going to do a hairshow called Black Kings & Queens and performing 5 of her new rap songs while doing the hairshow. After that. there will be a drawing to win a nice prize. Then the event is going to end the night with a dancing party. Food and vendors will also be there along with professional photographers. Everyone that’s participating in the event will be advertised in a magazine.
What goes into putting this event together behind the scenes?
Bernadette: It’s a lot of work especially by me doing just about everything by myself. I use a lot of my own creativity, I designed the backdrop myself, I designed the hand held tickets myself, I designed the name badges myself, I created my own eventbrite page myself, I did all the flyers myself, I created 4 different group pages myself to separate the entertainers, hairshow models, vendor’s & staff.
I contacted everyone myself to participate in this event. I’m also connected with the radio station. So people will hear a commercial about The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Pop Up Entertainment Shop 3rd Anniversary on Magic 106.9FM radio station.
What else are you currently working on, and what have you recently wrapped up?
Bernadette: I’m currently working on a booklet to contribute towards The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Pop Up Entertainment Shop 3rd Anniversary. A quarter page $25, half page $50, whole page $100. All I will need is a picture and information about your business sent to thedreamteamhairandbeauty@gmail.com and I will send a payment link. I will also ship 1 booklet to you for free.
I’m also looking at the hairstyles for my models for the hairshow.
I recently wrapped up all my music for the hairshow. I just need to go to the studio to record my music.
Please tell our readers what your journey has been so far as a successful and influential black woman entrepreneur.
Bernadette: My journey has been great as I do something different this year that I never done before by creating my own event that would allow me to display all my talents into one building. If it wasn’t for the experience I gain through out the years I wouldn’t be able to do this event.
I’m a license Beautician & was a Dudley Distributor for years selling Dudley Hair Products & doing clients hair. I was going to different salon’s & barber shops selling their hair products. Since I started selling hair products I called Mr. Joe L. Dudley Sr. and told him that I want my own hair product line. But I didn’t have enough money to do so at the time. While I was selling Dudley Hair Products and doing hair I also rap. My stage name is B-Rawz. I performed on major platforms. I opened up for Blac Youngsta, Boosie, Migos, Gunna, T-Rell, Young MA, Webbie and more. Through out the years of rapping, selling Dudley Hair Products and doing hair I stepped out on faith and got my own hair salon. After doing hair in my own hair salon I saved enough money to create my own hair product line called The Dream Team Hair & Beauty Professional Hair Products. Right now I have 7 products and they are:
