Dr. Jennifer Berman is a renowned urologist, sexual health expert, and media personality who has made it her life’s work to empower women to reclaim their lives and take control of their health and wellbeing. Dr. Berman is the founder and director of The Berman Women’s Wellness Center in Beverly Hills, which is a comprehensive state-of-the-art center that offers a wide range of services focused on women’s health and wellness. Dr. Berman is expanding her reach with new treatments and programs that serve both men and women, such as hormone balancing and weight loss programs. In addition to her work at the Center, Dr. Berman is a regular expert contributor to the media on topics related to sexual health, weight loss, and menopause. Dr. Berman is passionate about helping her patients live their best lives and is committed to providing them with the tools and resources they need to achieve their goals.
How did you get started in this business?
I am a Urologist, researcher, and television personality for many years now, I studied at UCLA and have always been involved in the conversation of sexual health- even back to the days of discussing Viagra. I am a regular on The Dr. Phil Show, The Today Show, and Good Morning America where I offer my thoughts and advice on female sexual and menopausal health. I believe as I started talking more about topics that were typically controversial I started to gain more of a following and from there have taken that attention and sued it to educate and make a difference. I have been working in this field for over 25 years and am committed to helping me and women live their best lives.
This commitment is evident in everything I do – from being featured on award-winning television shows to speaking with patients every day. My voice and vision are making a positive impact on women across all generations, and I am proud to be leading the charge for change. To further serve men and women, I started my own company and practice. I am excited to create a space that treats various needs and expand my services to all. I am excited to change the conversation around female sexual and menopausal health – one patient at a time.
When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that?
Yes, of course. Being a female in a male dominated industry can be extremely intimidating and creates an additional layer of doubt. Not only am I a women in this industry I am also talking about taboo topics that most men are too afraid to talk about, this caused many people to want to silence my practice but I remained confident in what I was doing for women in relation to sexual health and menopause. I have been able to connect with various companies such as Bio-Te, BTL Aesthetics and Inmode Aesthetics to offer the best technology and greatest results to my patients.
What is one marketing strategy (other than referrals) that you’re using that works really well to generate new business?
I find social media to be a great tool for my business, it allows me to inform existing patients of our new and current offerings and helps extensively find new patients. When we launch a new product, social media has been a great help in educating clients. I find it very valuable to create videos informing viewers of what services we offer, how they can help and what we can do for them. A Lot of people have issues with their body they don’t know they can even fix; I love using my social media to be a place where people can learn, interact, ask questions and inquire about booking an appointment.
What does the future hold for your business? What are you most excited about?
I am excited to be expanding into a bigger space! We are fortunate enough to have had much success in our current office, so much so that we are needing to expand to have more treatment rooms and will have the ability to offer additional services!
I am also excited for our two newest treatments: EmFemme 360 and Beautifill.
