The Venus on Broadway International Film Festival (VOBIFF), a Top 100 Reviewed Film Festival on FilmFreeway and IMDb-recognized awards festival, is officially calling for submissions from independent filmmakers and scriptwriters worldwide. With categories open in comedy, drama, and horror, VOBIFF continues its tradition of championing overlooked talent while showcasing powerful, boundary-pushing cinema.

The 7th Annual Venus on Broadway International Film Festival will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Leonard Nimoy Theater at Symphony Space (2537 Broadway, New York, NY 10025). This year promises a meaningful celebration of independent storytelling through film screenings, live performances, and exclusive gala events.

Kathrina Miccio — Founder & Festival Director

A 2x cancer survivor and advocate for overlooked talent, Kathrina Miccio is a 23x award-winning actress, filmmaker, writer, and director, as well as a 3x film festival director. Her festivals have consistently earned 5-star reviews on FilmFreeway and ranked among the Top 100 Reviewed Film Festivals.

Kathrina’s career spans over 25 years in the film and television industry. She serves as President of Cinema Awards for Value & Courage (Rome, Italy) and was the Founder/Creative Director of both the Procida International Film Festival and the Italian Cultural Capital Film Festival. Her festivals have honored legends such as Jon Voight (Roe v. Wade) and Jeremy Sisto (Wichita).
