Patricia has once again taken the reigns with a delicate twist in her world of art. A collaboration has been born in her studio. This year, she has reunited with her long-time friend, (known since age 12) to create NFT’s combining their love for music and art. Patricia has taken up drumming and proudly named her Gretsch Renown kit “Lotus”. Partnering with GTD who happens to be 97.7 Italian, they are known as ‘LOTUS97.7”.
As the world is shifting the energies with crypto-currency and the block chain, “Lotus97.7” have raged forward with paintings which are captivating and extravagantly unique.
First, a brief explanation of NFT’s. NFT is an acronym for Non-Fungible Token simply explained it is a digital collectible like a trading card. It is like a cryptocurrency in the sense it trades on a blockchain and has a monetary value attached to it. However, it differs from cryptocurrency in that an NFT has certain characteristics which make it unique from other NFT’s, even if the two NFT’s seem like one another. For example, if you trade 1 bitcoin for another bitcoin, you are trading one identical thing for another. There is no loss of value on either side of the transaction. However, if you trade 1 NFT for another NFT, they can be extremely different even if they appear to be the same. This is because an NFT includes a deeper layer of characteristics which make it different from others. For example, this can include metadata, visuals, serial numbers, etc. and can all affect the value of the NFT based on what the characteristics are valued by the people who buy and sell them. NFT’s therefore create exciting monetisation opportunities for collectors, as they are provably authentic, safe to trade and can include different types of art including music.
Cleopatra’s Canvas
Lotus97.7 is partnering with Authentify Art as their technical arm. The art is a true collaboration of their incredible talent! Each of them, contribute to the painting process. Their initial series is highly calculated with etheric abstract backgrounds tempered with unusual and exotic drum kits. More courageously exciting, is the sentiment which follows. Both artists use a variety of drum tools including brushes, drumsticks, mallets, and wire brushes, which they dip in the paint and begin their performance. After carefully choosing the music, they begin to perform on the canvas. Videoing the entire process which will accompany the authenticity of each piece. The music of preference is funk-jazz, however, their eclectic tastes range from rock to classical.
Patricia, you are a thought leader- merging realism with soul. Share your background.
The pinnings of life…for me art is the harbinger of the future… I have held many positions including banker, entrepreneur, philanthropist, humanist…. But now collaborator with the ideals which create equanimity… Recognizing I am probably a Karmic Artist… intentional with flow… perhaps I am an etheric energy creator…an observant introvert… converted introvert and effervescent creator… The works are philosophic grounded in quietude and wisdom.
You recently partnered with your friend. Tell us about the NFT’s and your love for music and art.
Music has always played an important role in my creative journey. Listening to and now playing both the drums and painting have synchronized what was missing. It is for me, a miracle, when you find another person who has the same joie de vivre and has the inspiration to create with similar principals and ideals. There is no doubt working along side a creative genius demands more of oneself, and this is the exciting side of what possibilities can become. I have played guitar since I was in my early twenties, learning the drums now with a professional musician has taken my mind to a whole new level of strengthening the synapses and feeling into both the art and the music with new feelings…
Seduction Phase
What do you enjoy most about this collaboration?
Every single time we are able to be in the studio, the ideas percolate, the energy is cosmic and etheric…. There truly is no such thing as time, but what the experience does, is create happiness within the gaps between the moments… This is why there is nothing more perfect than appreciating being in the moment, without judgement, simply existing.
Duality
Please share your work for this exhibit.
The new work is available on www.authentifyart.com…… Work can be seen here as well.. https://www.worldofartmagazine.com/WoA11/Contemporary-Art-and-Old-Masters.html
What techniques did you use?
We are creating these images first on canvas with acrylic paint. As we develop the strategy for the background we incorporate drumming on the canvas with a variety of musical tools, brushes, sticks and wires.

I have been working in Cambodia since 2006. At this time, we have a small innovation school operating in a village not far from Phnom Pen… To create a sustainable environment, we have encouraged our teacher to build a chicken farm. This will provide both employment, learning skills and income to sustain the small project. It is both exciting and empowering for everyone. Our computer lab is also now functioning with 4 computers.
What’s next for you?
The most exciting news is being named one of the Top ten Contemporary Artists in 2022 by World of Art.
