Please tell us about your influential professional work.
PJ Cowan: For me, I believe my work when it comes to fitness coaching is influential to those who train with me. Some may ask how training a client is influential. Working out its about mindset, discipline, attention to detail. Its not just about giving someone a plan and saying, “hey here is your work out just do it”. Once you have the right mindset, it will not only change your life by working out or meal prepping, but it can also change your everyday work ethic, attention to detail and much more. Changing peoples lives one day at a time.
How have you been an inspirational influence on the lives of those around you that you know and love personally?
PJ Cowan: I’ve never given up when things around me got tough. Being an Army Veteran, we deal with a lot when we are deployed, but going through my divorce and even post divorce what I have had to go through and I am still here standing and surviving, showing my kids and so many around me that anything is possible, and that even through the hard times it is possible to keep a positive attitude is inspiring. I have dealt with a lot, been through the ringer, and I am looking forward to telling my story in the coming months.
Who has been a major influence in your life and why?
PJ Cowan: My Army Brothers and Sisters, those who are no longer with us, and those who are with us today and still fighting. Unless you are a part of that “club”, its hard to explain what one goes through and the feelings you feel while you are deployed and even what its like coming home to the civilian life. It’s a tough battle away or at home, and it takes strength like no other to do what we do.
What do you think is your sole purpose in life?
PJ Cowan: To serve others, everything I do is for people, whether its my coaching, being a chef, even doing my podcast to show others they are not alone, its all about doing things for other. And honestly while some may not agree with it, to deal with bad people in the world and expose true colors. There are especially too many men who are afraid to speak up when it comes to situations they have been in with women because they feel like they won’t be heard. I will continue to fight to be heard for myself and others, and hope in time it allows more men to come forward and realize they aren’t alone.
What do you hope for yourself in the next 5 years?
PJ Cowan: Being happy, having peace and being able to live my life the way I want.
What else would you like our Influential People News readers to know about you?
PJ Cowan: I launched Raw and Real Vet Talk a few months ago to be able to speak openly and honestly with others about the Military, Politics, Men and Divorce, Mental Health, Addiction and so much more. Giving a platform to be Raw and Real with no judgment, a conversation with a little debate. I am just getting started. Look out for my story as well in the coming months as well.
