Thanks for joining us! Let’s start with getting to know who Stephanie Lomas is? And What are you doing these days? 

Hello, thanks for having me. I am Stephanie Lomas; I proudly claim myself as a purebred entrepreneur. My entrepreneurial journey started after completing my degree in electronics and communications. Right after graduation, I got the opportunity to work with one of the leading technology companies. I have been a denizen of the startup ecosystem for almost a decade. I have gained immense experience in various fields and technologies. From AI and machine learning to automation, analytics, and more, I have aligned myself with the best startups across the globe. It eventually led me to found Success Steps, an inbound marketing agency aimed to allow me to give my 100% to each product that I was getting aligned with. Today, Success Steps is among the top B2B inbound marketing agencies. I have worked day and night to prove my credibility in the eCommerce and retail segments.

Currently, I am in the process of designing and launching an online 6-week marketing program for entrepreneurs. You will soon hear about it.

 

What made you decide to become an entrepreneur? 

There are so many reasons why I decided not to carry on with my nine-to-five lifestyle; the freedom to follow my dreams and experiment with innovative ideas is the most prominent.

 

I worked in the corporate sector for almost a decade and learned a lot, but I always found it challenging to fit the corporate mold. My job experience allowed me to learn a lot, but I always knew working for someone else was not my life goal. I had some tremendous yet risky ideas, and I knew it would be difficult to convince anyone to invest in my plans. That is when I founded Success Steps to fuel my dreams.

 

What would you say are the top 3 skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur, and why? 

To create a successful trajectory as an entrepreneur, three skills are absolutely essential.

First of all, one must have the solution-based or service-based expertise that the market needs. Secondly, you should have the wisdom and ability to connect with your ideal client at the right time. Last but not least, to become a successful entrepreneur, you must have a growth mindset.

 

How do you separate Success Steps from your competitors? 

The biggest thing that sets Success Steps apart is my focus on a customer-centric business approach. I have a lot of experience across numerous technology-related industries. It gives me a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities that growing businesses face.

 

I am truly passionate about what I do, and I genuinely want to see my clients prosper. Success Steps is not about making a quick buck – it is about helping my clients grow and building long-term relationships.

 

What was the biggest problem you encountered launching your marketing agency and how did you overcome it? 

My experience of starting my own marketing agency has been enjoyable and satisfying. I was lucky to get mentors who helped me create the agency and handle things perfectly from the very start. Hiring the right team was one thing that was of significant concern for me, and a friend of mine assisted me with that since then, I haven’t encountered any serious problems.

 

How do you stay driven and motivated to keep going in your business and public speaking? 

I believe it all comes down to building a seamless process. When I started Success Steps, I found it really hard to keep up with all the work, meeting clients, handling staff, and creating campaigns. But over the years, I have successfully built out a process that has enabled me to stay on top of it. I have mastered time management with experience. Now I try to automate the process most of the time and often spread out the tasks between myself and my team.

 

What’s the best part of your job? 

The best part of my job is seeing my clients satisfied and happy, inspiring people to follow their dreams, and getting some practical guidance after listening to my lectures. I enjoy every bit of my work; it is never dull.

 

What is your definition of success?

Definition of success is different for everyone. For me, success isn’t a destination. Success is found within the process that you take every day. My life as an entrepreneur is full of ups and downs. I have seen highs being really high, and the lows were pretty low. I celebrate every small victory along my path to building something more significant for myself, and that’s the real success for me.
